The women were found to be overweight in high-income countries compared to the countries with lower and middle-income countries. The countries with lower income had more obese women than men. In 2016, Samoa an island nation in Polynesia had an average BMI of females 34.3, the highest in the world, whereas Ethiopia recorded the lowest with 21.1. The US women had an average BMI of 29.8 in 2016.
